Buddha and our psyche – meditative (self-) experiential space
Together we create a milieu that favors the emergence of insights: non-dogmatic and supported by a curious, inquiring mind. The contact takes place in a meditative atmosphere with phases of silence. At the same time, we also want to express ourselves spontaneously and unfiltered.
We do not want to cover emotions, but express and understand them. In our exchange, we give the feeling, or heart and stomach at least as much room as the discriminating thinking. We draw inspiration from the life and teachings of Buddha as well as other Eastern wisdom, combined with insights from Western psychology.
The evenings are designed to help us in our development, however it may personally look to us.
German language skills are required for these meetings!
The group is currently taking a break. There may be regular appointments again from September 2020, but no later than January 2021.
However, there will be a workshop on Sunday, 26 April 2020 from 10:00 to 18:00
“Silent Meditation and Living Communication”
The workshop will be led by three of us, Ruth and Wolfgang, who led the Seminarhaus Engl for 30 years, will be present and will strengthen the Buddhist element.
The focus will be on how the insights from silent meditation and the world of communication and interaction can be mutually enriching.
What value do insights gained on the pillow have for our everyday life? How does the way we communicate with others influence our meditation or the way we talk to or interact with ourselves?
Meditation can be an escape and avoidance, but it can also enrich and deepen our lives in an extraordinary way, and even too much outside orientation in the search for human connection or confirmation can become an escape and avoidance: distracted and active, we do not need to pay attention to our own feelings.
Both worlds, that of introspection and that of communication and togetherness, belong together: Only in this way can it become a life in which we don’t have to avoid anything or anyone, neither other people nor our own feelings. Only when both interlock well can we become truly free.
How we can succeed in this, we will explore together in the workshop
