In psychoactive meditation, we alternate in our own rhythm between bare awareness, in which we follow the flow of the breath or body sensations in a relaxed manner, and active exploration of our feelings, thoughts, memories or inner parts.<\/p>\n<p>We meditate creatively and in loving confrontation with ourselves, asking our moral or spiritual superego to step aside for a while. We are free to experiment as we wish. We are not committed to any doctrine or tradition &#8211; although many spiritual, therapeutic and philosophical influences are recognizable.<\/p>\n<h2>Emotionally activating<\/h2>\n<p>Feelings such as tension, fear, envy, pride or anger are allowed to be with us &#8211; they are part of our emotional make-up and of our vitality. In meditation, we consciously seek to come in contact with our feelings or emotions. We don&#8217;t want to overcome them, but rather understand them, experience them anew or see them in a different light. Perhaps they want to show us something important about ourselves or our relationship to the world &#8211; perhaps they point out things that we would otherwise avoid.<\/p>\n<p>We work with emerging feelings in different ways and learn to welcome them unconditionally.<\/p>\n<h2>Consciousness expanding<\/h2>\n<p>The more that happens in meditation, the better! Many things can happen at the same time. In fact, we are able to perceive different things, levels or dimensions at the same time if we practise it. Instead of using substances, we expand our consciousness through agile, sometimes provocative meditation.<\/p>\n<p>Between the meditation phases, we share our experiences and thoughts, which is as important as the meditation.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of all of this is to gain spontaneous, intuitive insights and new, surprising perspectives on ourselves and the world. Perhaps at some point we will end up, to quote Ram Dass, as \u201cconnoisseurs of our neurosis\u201d or, to put it more positively, as connoisseurs of all facets of our existence.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"102\" data-end=\"182\">Compassionate Parts Focusing \u2013 New Program Starting in October at Aquariana<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"184\" data-end=\"416\">This October, our <strong data-start=\"202\" data-end=\"223\">Aquariana program<\/strong> begins again!<br data-start=\"237\" data-end=\"240\" \/>This time, the focus is on our <strong data-start=\"271\" data-end=\"286\">inner parts<\/strong>.<br data-start=\"287\" data-end=\"290\" \/>I call it <em data-start=\"300\" data-end=\"330\">Compassionate Parts Focusing<\/em> \u2013 an invitation to meet our parts with more understanding, kindness, and curiosity.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"418\" data-end=\"468\">We\u2019ll be drawing from three powerful approaches:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"469\" data-end=\"673\">\n<li
