Emotion-Focused In-Depth Therapy
Working with feelings — and our relationship to them — is often the key to healing. For some, this means learning to allow emotions; for others, it’s more about regulating them. Very often, the focus lies in developing new perspectives and experiencing emotions in a different, more constructive way.
Methods such as IFS (Internal Family Systems) and Focusing are powerful, emotion-focused approaches. They can open the door to deeper, often unexplored layers of experience — sometimes very quickly.
If it feels comfortable for you, this work can also be done with your eyes closed. That way you can fully explore your inner images and feelings without external distraction. I provide time, space, and gentle guidance where needed — but always stay in the background. The most valuable solutions come from within yourself.
Short-Term Therapy or Coaching
Sometimes you may need support that works quickly. Short-term therapy can be especially helpful in moments of crisis or when you want coaching on specific topics. In just a few sessions, we can develop clear and practical steps to help you regain your sense of agency.
While deeper issues can of course emerge, the focus here is on concrete solutions and strengthening your resources. Particularly in areas such as self-assertion, setting boundaries, or self-care, important and lasting changes can arise within a short time.
Short-term therapy may also include creating new visions for your future. Sometimes this involves small but effective “homework” — for example, making a list of your values and needs, or writing an unsent letter to a parent or ex-partner.
Fear (of) Diagnoses?
My focus is on people and their stories, not on labels. Still, through many years of clinical experience, I am very familiar with most psychiatric diagnoses.
If you live with depression, adjustment disorders, complex PTSD, ADHD, borderline, or other so-called personality disorders, you are very welcome here. Anxiety disorders are a particular specialty of mine — whether phobias, panic attacks, or generalized anxiety. Alongside emotion-focused methods, we can also work with targeted exposure techniques.
