Psychotherapy in Berlin

Emotion-focused in-depth therapy
Working with feelings and our relationship to them is often the key to successful therapy. Depending on the person, it is sometimes more about allowing feelings and sometimes about regulating them. However, the focus is often on developing new perspectives and experiencing or categorizing emotions differently.
Approaches such as IFS (Internal Family Systems) and Focusing are emotion-focused methods that can profoundly change our experience and quickly lead us to inner, often unexplored issues.
If you are comfortable, this work can also take place with your eyes closed, so that you have the space to explore your feelings and inner images without external distractions. I give you plenty of time and space, support your inner process and gently guide you where necessary – but always remain reserved. The most valuable solutions come from yourself!
Short-term therapy or coaching
If you need fast-acting support, short-term therapy can also be used. can be useful, especially for coaching on specific topics or in crisis situations. In just a few sessions, we work together to develop targeted solutions that will help you to regain your ability to act. Deeper issues, which would be given more space in a longer therapy, can also be addressed, but are not the focus. Particularly in areas such as self-assertion, setting boundaries and self-care, important and lasting changes can occur in a short space of time.
In short-term therapy it is often also about developing new visions for your future. Sometimes this also includes “homework”, such as a list of your values or needs – or imaginary letters to an ex-partner or mother.
Fear (of) diagnoses?
I enjoy working with people and attach great importance to their individual history and experience, but less to diagnoses. However, due to my many years of clinical experience, I am very familiar with most diagnoses.
If you suffer from depression, adjustment disorders, kPTBS, AD(H)S, borderline or other so-called personality disorders, for example, you are very welcome to come to me. Anxiety disorders are my particular specialty – whether they are phobias, panic attacks or generalized anxiety disorders. In addition to the methods mentioned above, we can also offer a targeted exposure training.
